Above the Influence (ATI) is a national campaign created and implemented by the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign, a program of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. ATI informs and inspires teens to reject illicit drugs via TV, print, Internet, and local radio advertising, in partnership with community organizations. This toolkit was developed to make it easier for community organizations to apply ATI messages in the work they are already doing with teens. It is designed to be a user-friendly resource to help youth group leaders facilitate discussions with teens about influence and ways to stay above it. Community leaders are welcome to use these resources as designed or as a guide for developing their own strategies for addressing issues of influence, peer pressure, and risky behaviors. The toolkit provides simple steps for implementing three ATI activities: Tag It, Teen Expressions Art Project, and Influence Videos and Discussion. It also has tools to provide ATI with feedback for designing future activities, and a brief overview of the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign.
