NCFY Asks: What Would You Do With an Extra Day?

Folks who work with homeless youth are often stretched thin. Wouldn’t it be great to have one more day to get everything done?

Lo and behold – it’s Leap Year, and we do have an extra day this month! So NCFY asked youth workers, “What would you do with an extra day to help homeless youth?”

Here’s what a few of you told us:

“Mobilize homeless youth to have a thoughtful discussion with local leaders around issues of homelessness.”--Diana Lopez, Youth Development, Inc., Albuquerque, NM

“Advocate for more legal rights for homeless youth.”--Kendra Elliott, Youth In Need, Florissant, MI

“Have runaway and homeless youth get together and really give us some good, constructive criticism about our program: What needs do they still have that we’re not meeting for them, and what could we do better?”--Erin Kelly, Child and Family Services, Manchester, NH
