Thanks to the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, or NCTSN, youth workers looking to assess childhood trauma can explore their options with a few clicks of their mouse. The new NCTSN Measures Review Database includes more than 60 assessment measures reviewed by child trauma experts.

Each entry includes a description of the measurement tool, as well as its format, average time to complete, materials needed and domains assessed. In some cases, reviewers add extra information such as a list of the measure's pros and cons and practical information related to training.

The database was created by NCTSN centers across the country with the support of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, which funds NCTSN grantees. If you want to order a particular tool, contact information is included in each profile overview.

If you would like to submit a review to the database, or  if you have a measure you would like to see added, email the Measures Review Database Coordinator.
