Please join us for a Twitter chat on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth and sexual health!
Although Pride Month has come to an end, it’s important to continue discussing the many issues faced by LGBTQ youth. LGBTQ youth face many sexual health disparities related to HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and teen pregnancy. Youth-serving professionals and organizations can help LGBTQ youth improve their sexual health outcomes by providing inclusive sexual health education in a safe, stigma-free environment.
Co-hosted by Advocates for Youth and the DC Center for the LGBT Community, this Twitter chat will encourage a dialogue with youth-serving professionals and organizations to address stigma, increase knowledge, and raise awareness in an effort to empower LGBTQ youth.
When: Wednesday, July 17, 2013, 3 p.m. Eastern time.
