When you work with young people and families in crisis, it’s easy to focus on their immediate needs instead of how you're contributing to your program's larger goals. Daily to-do lists, phone calls and paperwork can shift your thoughts even further from the broader mission and what it means to serve youth and families effectively.
“Logic Models and Theory of Change” (free registration required) will walk you through the basics of each model while presenting examples from the field. If you're a program director, staff manager, or grant writer at a family- and youth-serving agency, the training can help you make plans to establish a new program or update an existing one.
“Family and youth workers know that change doesn’t happen overnight and it doesn’t happen by chance,” says FYSB Associate Commissioner Bill Bentley. “That’s why we want to give agencies the tools they need to end youth homelessness, prevent teen pregnancy and address other concerns in their communities.”
Later this year, we will release additional courses on the impact of trauma and the use of social media to promote youth- and family-serving programs. Subscribe to NCFY News to be notified when the courses are launched.
