Domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking are all-too-common experiences for women and teens who are pregnant or have recently given birth. Pregnant Survivors, an online toolkit from the Washington Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs and the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, presents an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to meeting the needs of pregnant and parenting survivors.
The guide includes sections on providing trauma-focused services to violence and assault victims and on working with teen survivors. Another section explains how women's and girls' contraceptive use, pregnancy, and exposure to sexually transmitted infections can be affected when their partners abuse them.
